Case Study: JAMES Project

SBL deliver 12,500 encrypted JAMES user devices to military units within the UK and Overseas

SBL has been selected by the JAMES Project Team to provide a Managed Encryption and Deployment service which will deliver 12,500 Encrypted JAMES User Devices to Military Units within the UK and overseas. 

The JAMES (Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solution) Project seeks to deliver operation cost savings through the visibility of asset and engineering data. SBL has worked closely with the JAMES Project Team to specify and procure the most suitable hardware and security products which meet the stringent requirements of this project and to achieve their cost saving objectives. 

JAMES chose Getac, experienced ruggedized solution providers, as their preferred hardware partner for this project. SBL and Getac collaborated with the MoD in the specification of the rugged tablets which are required to withstand the most inhospitable terrain and environmental conditions and have been customised to include features specific to the JAMES Project. 

All aspects of this service are carried out in SBL’s Government Approved secure facility in York by SBL’s Security Cleared staff that have vast experience in handling cryptographic material and deploying encryption solutions.
