What is DOBUS™ To Go?
DOBUS™ To Go is a unique service created to enable organisations that have personnel in remote locations to access software patches and updates. Based on SBL’s existing DOBUS™ system, DOBUS™ To Go is a non-internet reliant managed service which provides software updates, service packs, patches and fixes in a secure manner without the need to attach to a network to perform the download.
DOBUS™ To Go has been developed specifically to allow Users who have restricted or no access to secure networks to utilise the functionality of DOBUS™ and will appeal in particular to organisations that have personnel in remote locations, or where the access to their central network is not allowed.
Examples might be Operatives in Theatre, on ships, Oil Platforms or remote Consular outposts. DOBUS™ To Go can deliver patches and updates to devices operating on any classified or unclassified network.
DOBUS™ To Go is provided on a standalone server which is delivered directly to the Customer and is available in two flavours; Standard and Customised.
Standard DOBUS™ To Go
This version holds four products from the Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and two other AV products and is delivered to the Customer every month. At the end of the month the server is wiped and returned to SBL, who will deliver a new DOBUS To Go server to the Customer with the latest updates and patches.
Customised DOBUS™ To Go
Is a bespoke service designed for each Customer who can specify which updates they require and the regularity with which they want them.
The options are:
The DOBUS™ To Go server will be delivered to the Customer site every 2/4 weeks or on demand depending on the requirement. At the end of the specified time the server is wiped and a new DOBUS To Go server will be delivered to the Customer with the latest updates and patches. For example a Customised DOBUS To Go Server might hold MS updates, McAfee updates, Adobe and patches for a proprietary HR database.
The service can be delivered on a range of devices to suit each Customer’s operating environment; fully rugged, semi-rugged and standard machines are all available.
Secure Delivery & Collection
Depending on the frequency of the swap out and the location of the servers; SBL will organise secure delivery commensurate with the protective marking of the data being dispatched.
Service Delivery & Help Desk
Each installation will have a customised Service Level Agreement which provides access to the Internet based Help Desk Portal and telephone support for the installation Monday – Friday, 9am – 5 pm.
SBL will provide details of how to access and download the updates and patches as well as instructions on how to download products, wipe the device prior to return and other FAQs.
